NEW CONSTRUCTION

DOM Construction is your new construction siding solution, with crews experienced in the application of a variety of siding materials. Those materials include Hardie, vinyl, and a variety of wood products such as primed spruce, cedar, cedar shingles, and more.

From our beginning in 1990, our main focus has been projects in the area of new construction. These projects included condominiums, apartments, and single family homes. Our experience has allowed us to put in place processes that address the challenges/special concerns of both the general contractor and the owner/builder.

Our experience and knowledge has allowed us to identify and understand the primary concerns facing the new construction builder and to address any potential issues early in the planning phase. Those are scheduling, material handling, quality control, water-intrusion protection, and attention to jobsite Safety standards.

1. Scheduling: We believe that communication is job one, and to ensure that your job is started, progresses and is completed in a timely fashion; we will be on-site performing a pre-start inspection to identify any obstacles which may cause unnecessary delays in your project. We have a large experienced crew base to draw from, and are never more than a couple of days out to start the next job.
2. Material handling: With accounts at nine different material suppliers (and their various outlet locations), as well as several other specialty companies; acquiring materials in a timely manner is generally not a problem. Communication with the jobsite superintendent will accomplish proper placement of our materials to avoid conflicts with other trades. Daily onsite clean-up by our siding crews is standard operating procedure.
3. Quality control: There are two main issues in quality control. The first is to install siding materials in such a way as to protect your product warranties, this is very important. The other issue is to insure that the product is installed in a manner that is esthetically pleasing to the eye. (A clean and deliberate installation). To this end, there is a crew leader on each crew responsible for these quality issues. Regular inspections by a qualified Dom Construction Project Manager are routinely conducted.
4. Water-intrusion protection: Dom Construction has always been conscientious in its approach to the building envelope. We have been fortunate to have been able to work with several of the "water-intrusion experts" (engineering companies), on condominium remediation, and new construction multi-family projects. We have adopted many of their recommendations as well as some of our own more "intuitive" techniques. With this experience we are equally comfortable working with any engineering company, or providing our water-intrusion prevention details. 5. Jobsite Safety: Safety and Labor and industries are a large concern on all jobsites. Dom Construction has developed our own safety program. Training is an ongoing process. This safety program is very comprehensive as it pertains to the special situations encountered in the siding installation environment. Fall protection is a priority of ours and emphasis is directed toward the various scaffolding, and other situations of fall exposure.
